paisley knot is a Chicago-based production shop that crafts offbeat, handmade items to enhance your home.

We work with local suppliers and focus on using sustainably sourced materials, reusing and repurposing what we can to create products you will love.

Taylor (right) left school with a degree in Studio Art and Art History. Though trained in oil painting, he found little joy in the Art scene. Once the oils and brushes were put away, he explored other creative outlets and discovered woodworking in 2010. Working with this stubborn and powerful medium reignited a passion for crafting.

Kirsten (left) has been making string or macrame works to accompany her partner’s products for the last few years. Her pieces are a practice in patience and care. She painstakingly braids each piece to find its home in your home, whether it be a hanging fruit basket or a planter.

We officially launched our brand at the Portage Park Farmer’s Market 8/3/2025.
